Problem: soup purchases are declining
step one: empathize- research and interview customers who are still purchasing soup, then with the data you collect, proceed to step two.
step two: define- state the customer’s main issues and values with soup, such as which flavors they would like to see in the future, maybe issues with quality, packaging issues, so on and so forth.
step three: ideate- figure out how to solve the problems listed above, then pick out the best [ and most plausible ] solutions to carry out into step four.
step four: prototype- with the best solution you picked out in step three, bring it to life with a new and improved can of soup, then move onto step five, the final step.
step five: test- give the soup to two groups of people, people who were still buying soup [ group a ], and people who stopped buying soup [ group b ]. Collect data from each side and decide if you need to repeat the steps, or move on and lauch your idea.
